Agamemnon’s nostos in the Odyssey is part of the interrelated web of nostoi of the Achaeans, split up right from the beginning. These nostoi presuppose traditional versions where the Achaeans started together from Troy, came into a joint storm and met, in consequence, their different fates. From this intertextual perspective, the details of Agamemnon’s nostos point at what Agamemnon did not experience (contrary to traditional versions) and how his conflict with Aegisthus is seen in a new, Odyssean, light.
